The celebrated Iranian Bard, Haj Qorban Soleimani, died on Sunday 20^th January 2008 at the age of 85.

With his passing Iran has lost one of its master Bards. Haj Qorban, who was born in Quchan, Khorassan, initially learnt the art of improvised poetry narration, story telling and music from his father and was later bestowed with the title of Bakhshi, master musician, at the age of 21. Last year Haj Qorban Soleimani talked  to Jadid Online about his life and art.
