Iran's police recently started a crackdown on pet dogs, fining the owners.  The move is part of a campaign against what officials describe as immoral and un-Islamic behavior, during which many young men and women have been detained or received warnings about the way they are dressed. Here people with, and without, dogs give their own opinion on these new steps.
